Affiliate Disclosure
Some links here earn us a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and it is the only way this site makes money.

What this means
BeyondSeoul takes part in affiliate programmes. When you follow one of our links to a partner and book something, that partner may pay us a percentage of what you paid. The price you pay is the same as it would be if you had gone there directly — the commission comes out of the partner’s margin, not out of your pocket.
Who we work with
- Klook — tours, passes, transport and SIM cards
- Booking.com, through the CJ Affiliate network — accommodation
- Awin advertisers — currently esimzon (eSIM) and GoWithGuide (private guides)
What it does not change
A commission does not decide which cities we cover or what we say about a place. Links are attached to a guide by pointing at a section that was already written, and they are kept out of the prose itself, so an article does not get shaped around one. Where a partner link would be the wrong answer for a reader, we would rather the page carried none.
Itineraries are generated from your survey answers alone. No partner pays to appear in one, and the model that writes them is not given a list of advertisers.
How to tell
Affiliate links on this site are always buttons that name the partner — for example “Book on Klook” or “Find hotels on Booking.com”. We do not hide them inside the body of an article as ordinary text links. Every page carrying one also shows the notice at the bottom of the site.
What we record
When you click one of these buttons we log that a click happened, on which page, and to which partner, so we can tell which guides are useful. We do not send the partner anything about you. From the moment you land on their site, their privacy policy applies. See our Privacy Policy.
Why we tell you
Because you should know when a recommendation has money behind it. It is also required — by the United States Federal Trade Commission’s endorsement guides (16 CFR Part 255), by equivalent rules elsewhere, and by the affiliate networks themselves.
